What Is PTC

So what are PTC websites really? PTC (Pay To Click) websites through targeted ads, bring advertisers closer to their members, while enabling the members to earn some extra cash. Advertisers basically pay members to click on a particular ad – and therefore to visit the advertiser’s website. Pretty simple isn’t it?

But why do they even do it?

Say you have a website and are going to sell something off it in the future. How are you going to do it? Firstly you definitely need people to actually VISIT your site – therefore visitors. You simply cannot sell something if noone has ever seen it, right? It usually takes a long long time (weeks, months really) to push a new site higher in the rankings – in the more known search engines. Hence the large number of web-admins turning to pay to click – PTC programs for their advertising.

Now you could say – Hey, alright, I understand why it works, but I’m not any closer to understanding how it actually works… So here it goes: Advertising in PTC programs means having your advertisements placed on the PTC site. You then pay a set amount of money upfront for each time your ad is going to be clicked by a visitor. But from your perspective (you’re probbably here to earn money) – you get paid to click on advertisements and visit their websites at their ads page. It’s extremely easy. Usually min 4. ads will be provided per day for you to visit. You then click on a particular link, view a site for about 30 seconds and voila – you’ve just earned some money (usually it’s about 1 cent per visited site – 0.01 dollars).
